Mykolaiv Zoo hosts «Festival of Friendship of Nations»

Today, 17 May, the Mykolaiv Zoo hosted the «Festival of Friendship of Nations» on the occasion of the Day of International Harmony and Cultural Diversity.

According to the zoo, the event was held as part of the intercultural project «Mykolaiv. We are different. We are together!».

It is noted that young artists of the Mykolaiv Professional College of Culture and Arts, as well as representatives of national societies — Bulgarian, Armenian, Korean, Roma and Hungarian — performed during the festival. The programme included songs, dances and decorative art exhibitions.

The festival was opened by the zoo's director Volodymyr Topchyi and the head of the Mykolaiv City Council of National Societies Anar Akhundov.

As a reminder, the Mykolaiv Zoo plans to eliminate construction defects that arose during the construction of summer enclosures of the «Animal Island» complex. 1.6 million hryvnias was allocated for these works.
