Employees in Mykolaiv region are owed more than ₴37.7 million in wages for December

As of 1 January this year, wage arrears at enterprises in the Mykolaiv region reached 37.7 million hryvnias, which is 6.5% more than at the beginning of December 2025.

This was reported by the Main Department of Statistics of the Mykolaiv region, according to NikVesti.

More than half of the total amount was owed in the industrial sector — 51.4% or 19.4 million.

The largest debts were recorded at processing enterprises — almost 16.8 million hryvnias, or 44.5% of the total amount. About 30,000 hryvnias are unpaid wages from previous years.

Employees working in water supply, sewerage and waste management were not paid almost 2.6 million hryvnias in wages.

In construction, the debt amounted to 138,000 hryvnias.

A significant amount of debt also falls on agriculture — 18.2 million hryvnias, or 48.2% of the total amount of debt. Of these, almost 12.5 million hryvnias are owed for 2024 and previous years.

The largest debts are concentrated in enterprises in the Mykolaiv district — 16.4 million hryvnias (43.5%) and the Voznesensk district — 12.2 million hryvnias (32.3%).

In total, employers failed to pay 700 employees on time, owing each of them an average of about 54,000 hryvnias.
