Mykolaiv allocated ₴150 million to support the defence forces in 2025

In 2025, Mykolaiv allocated 150 million hryvnias to support the defence forces, with the main focus on the purchase of FPV drones.

This was announced by Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych on 13 January during his report on his activities for 2025, according to NikVesti.

According to the mayor, during the year, the city transferred twice as many FPV drones to the military as in 2024.

«The main focus was on FPV drones. Over the year, we transferred 4,200 units. This amounts to about 55 million hryvnias, which is twice as much as in 2024,» said Oleksandr Sienkevych.

In addition, Mykolaiv transferred other property to the military — Starlink, diesel generators, transport, construction equipment, and a significant amount of construction materials used by units during combat missions.

Earlier, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych demonstrated the operation of a drone purchased with funds from the city budget.
