In the Mykolaiv region, foresters have announced tenders for flax and sunflower. The total amount of purchases is estimated at 24.9 million hryvnias, and the area of future crops is 979.2 hectares.

The relevant tenders have been published in the Prozorro system.

The first two procurements relate to flax cultivation. One tender involves works on 221.3 hectares in quarters 21 and 37 of Bashtanka forestry with an expected value of 4.99 million hryvnias. The second one covers 226.8 hectares in Bereznehuvate and Murakhivka forestries and is worth 4.92 million hryvnias.

Another tender has been announced for sunflower cultivation. Sowing is planned on 531.1 hectares within Bereznehuvate, Maliivka and Novyi Buh forestries. The expected value of the procurement is 15 million hryvnias.

The contractors are to provide a full cycle of agricultural work between November 2025 and November 2026: soil preparation, fertilisation, sowing certified seeds, crop care, harvesting and transporting grain to the elevator. The contractor provides all resources — machinery, fuel and materials — on its own.

The press service of the state enterprise «Forests of Ukraine» in Mykolaiv region told NikVesti that agricultural land had historically been used by forestry enterprises before the 2022 reform. After the creation of a single enterprise, an inventory of these plots was made and the Agricultural and Indirect Forestry Sector was formed.

«In Mykolaiv region, there are 2,043 hectares of such land. For the southern non-resource region, this is an opportunity to generate additional income. All work and purchases are carried out through tenders, which eliminates the corruption component,» the press service said.
