In October, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko will hold a series of meetings in the United States to discuss mining in Ukraine. The talks will be held within the framework of an agreement to establish the Investment Fund for Reconstruction.
This was announced at a briefing by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following his visit to the United States.
According to him, the Fund has been launched, and a meeting has already been held with leading representatives of American business.
«We have positive results from the economic agreement called the Minerals deal. The Fund has been launched. We had a big meeting with leading representatives of American business — companies that are happy that the fund has started working. And thanks to this fund, they want to invest in Ukraine. And it will happen. Next, it will move to the level of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. We have agreed that Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko will hold practical meetings in October in the United States,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
As a reminder, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation has made the first contribution to the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund in the amount of $75 million.
Earlier, Ukraine's Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent signed an agreement between the two countries to establish the Reconstruction Investment Fund.
