Odesa region is among three leaders in land tax payment

Odesa region is once again among the top three leaders in terms of land tax revenues. Between January and August this year, local budgets in the region received 2.6 billion hryvnias.

This is according to the State Tax Service.

In total, local budgets of Ukraine received 29.7 billion hryvnias during this period. This is 14.5% (or 3.7 billion hryvnias) more than last year, when revenues totalled almost 26 billion hryvnias.

Among the leaders in tax payment: Dnipro region — 5.2 billion hryvnias, Kyiv — 4.2 billion hryvnias, Odesa region — 2.6 billion hryvnias and Lviv region — 2 billion hryvnias.

«Land payment is a mandatory payment as part of the property tax. It includes land tax or rent for land plots of state and communal property», the State Tax Service reminded.

Earlier it was reported that for 8 months of this year, entrepreneurs in Mykolaiv region paid 768.2 million hryvnias in land tax and land lease payments to local budgets.
