The state-owned operator of the project «Land Bank» has announced auctions for more than 68,000 hectares of state land across the country in its first year of operation. In Mykolaiv region, 40 plots are currently being offered at auction.
This was announced during a public report by Yaroslav Yaroslavskyi, CEO of «State Land Bank», according to NikVesti.
The average rental price in Ukraine is over ₴19 thousand per hectare. However, in Mykolaiv region, this figure is one of the lowest — an average of only ₴7,800 per hectare. For comparison, in Ivano-Frankivsk region, the rate reaches ₴47 thousand.
In total, the «Land Bank» uses almost 91,000 hectares of state-owned agricultural land in 20 regions of Ukraine. This includes more than 1,900 plots ranging in size from one to four hectares. In addition, 3.6 thousand hectares are in the process of registering lease agreements.
In different regions, 694 plots of more than 10,000 hectares have already been put up for auction.
«This is not about selling land. The land remains in the state, and the winner of the auction pays an average of ₴19.2 thousand per hectare for the use of the land. In total, over one billion hryvnias has been paid in 11 months. We believe this is a positive result,» said Yaroslav Yaroslavskyi.
He noted that the communities where the plots are located receive 10% of the rent.
According to him, some of the land cannot yet be put up for auction. In particular, 1.6 thousand hectares are still in the area of active hostilities, as well as 6.6 thousand hectares of potentially contaminated land awaiting demining.
«Unfortunately, today we also have court cases in which we cannot re-register the land, which is about 5,500 hectares of such land. After the court case is over, I hope it will be resolved in our favour, these lands will also be put up for auction,» said Yaroslav Yaroslavsky.
Earlier it was reported that since the launch of the land market in Ukraine in July 2021, prices per hectare have increased by 60%, but in Mykolaiv region they remain among the lowest in the country.
