Deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council supported changes to the community budget for 2025. Revenues have been increased by almost 293.3 million hryvnias, mainly at the expense of funds from the state.
The decision was supported by the deputies during the session on 31 July, according to NikVesti.
As explained by the Department of Finance, additional funds were received by the city budget during the intersessional period. These are targeted subventions from the state budget, in particular:
-
150.3 million hryvnias for the implementation of the housing repair project (NORE programme);
-
63 million hryvnias for the renovation of canteens in educational institutions, including military lyceums;
-
62.7 million hryvnias for housing compensation for veterans with disabilities;
-
8.9 million hryvnias — an additional educational subvention;
-
7.6 million hryvnias — for housing for orphans and family-type children's homes;
-
more than 452 thousand hryvnias to support specialists who accompany veterans and other social measures.
In addition, the budget provides for the internal redistribution of funds between key spending units. The total amount of expenditures was increased by more than 320 million hryvnias, of which 232 million hryvnias is from the special fund.
In addition, the MPs unanimously supported an amendment to co-finance the construction of a new water supply system along Myru Avenue as part of the government programme «Restoring Ukraine-3». The total cost of the project is 100 million hryvnias, of which 9 million 35 thousand 715 hryvnias will be financed by the city.
As Oleksii Savchuk, head of the capital construction department, explained, these funds were redistributed within the development budget — from objects where savings were made. In particular, we are talking about:
— protective shelters in schools and kindergartens,
— reconstruction of the athletics arena,
— creation of a sports town,
— installation of fire alarms in hospitals and a maternity hospital.
Earlier, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said that Monobank co-founder Oleh Horokhovskyi, who registered a subsidiary in Mykolaiv — a branch «Kilobaits1024» — has already paid tens of millions of hryvnias to the city budget.
In addition, according to the mayor, the city authorities received additional revenues through auctions for the sale of municipal property. He added that in August the city may exceed its budget targets, which will allow for the redistribution of funds.
