In Lymany, the village council building, which was destroyed by shelling in April 2022, will be overhauled. The repair will cost 1.4 million hryvnias.
The relevant tender has been published on Prozorro.
The work will be carried out by the company «Elite-Bud-Garant» by 31 October 2025.
According to Lyman village elder Nataliia Panashii, the community took the first steps towards restoration on its own: they repaired the roof and partially strengthened the walls.
«Now the building is empty — there is nothing inside: no plaster, no wiring. After the work is completed, we plan to return to work there,» Nataliia Panashii told NikVesti.
As you know, the building was damaged by a direct hit on the night of 7-8 April 2022. The head's office and reception area were completely destroyed. In February 2023, the community decided to restore the village council. The work began on 1 March.
«The Halytsynove community helped us, and volunteers brought some materials. And my office will be green again — just like before the war. Before the shelling, there were 123 flowers growing in it, and only a few cacti survived after we arrived,» says Nataliia Panashii.
As a reminder, the villages of Lymany and Lupareve near Mykolaiv have been under constant shelling by Russian troops since mid-March 2022. In July, the occupiers shelled the village of Lymany with cluster munitions. A kindergarten and the community administration building were damaged, and a fire truck of the local territorial community was destroyed.
As a reminder, in April 2022, NikVesti talked to local residents who told us about their lives during the war. The shelling of the village stopped only after the de-occupation of Kherson.
