Ukraine needs $17.3 billion for priority recovery in 2025, but has so far managed to raise only $7.4 billion.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Finance Olha Zykova during the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington on 23 April, the Ministry of Finance reported.

She noted that these funds were received through the state budget and donor support, but that another $10 billion is needed for full funding.

The priority areas for funding are housing, energy, social and critical infrastructure (transport, heating and water supply), and social protection.

At a meeting of the Board of Partners of the Ukraine Recovery, Trust Fund (URTF), it was noted that as of the end of 2024, the World Bank had raised about $2 billion through the URTF to support Ukraine. Of this amount, Ukraine has already received $1.2 billion in grants, which also helped unlock $6.2 billion in additional financing for recovery and reforms.

The Ministry of Finance emphasised that the projects supported by the URTF have reached 20 million Ukrainians.

As a reminder, the Government has allocated 5.2 billion hryvnias for a pilot project for the comprehensive restoration of five settlements, including Posad-Pokrovske, located on the border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
