The project has become an important initiative in supporting regional media in Ukraine during the ongoing information war and disinformation campaigns. Thanks to a partnership between n-ost, Lviv Media Forum, and the Institute of Mass Information (IMI Ukraine), the project focuses on empowering journalists in local regions to combat fake news and improve the quality of media content.
As part of this initiative, the editorial team at NikVesti receives support for producing analytical materials that help address important public issues and counter the spread of disinformation. The project includes journalist training, participation in specialized workshops on fact-checking, media management, and digital security. This not only enhances the professional skills of the team but also introduces modern approaches to managing editorial offices and content creation.
In addition to the training, NikVesti participates in consultations with media experts, which helps improve editorial policies and adapt communication strategies to new challenges. Through this project, the editorial team can deepen its coverage of local events and improve engagement with the audience, ensuring transparency and accountability.
The project also provides grants for content creation and dissemination, which promotes the growth of independent and reliable sources of information in regional media.
