Recovery during the war: Stories of the Mykolaiv region

The project is implemented by the online media NikVesti as part of the Recovery Window initiative. This initiative is aimed at transparently covering the recovery processes in the regions most affected by military operations, including the Mykolaiv Region.

The Recovery Window is a media network that unites more than 80 independent media, public organizations and think tanks. The goal of the project is to create informational materials on the restoration of infrastructure, the fight against corruption, and raising the level of public awareness of reconstruction processes. The project also provides for the publication of local stories about people and communities that are recovering after military actions.

The project aims to show, through media materials, the important stages of recovery of the Mykolaiv region, the stories of people who survived the consequences of the war, and the processes of infrastructure reconstruction. NikVesti journalists will create analytical articles, reports, photo and video materials that will tell about the recovery of the region, emphasizing local initiatives and important changes.

This project is designed not only to inform, but also to involve the public in the discussion of restoration processes, ensuring transparency and accountability of the authorities in the issue of reconstruction of the region.
