Supporting Local Media for Transparent Reconstruction Reporting

The project aims to strengthen the role of local media in covering recovery and reconstruction processes, improving accountability in the use of public resources and providing communities with clear information about infrastructure and social changes. Within the project, the online media outlet NikVesti will prepare 5 publications over 5 months focusing on housing and critical infrastructure recovery, transparency of decision-making, citizen participation in reconstruction planning and the impact of rebuilding initiatives on community life.

Key stakeholders include community residents, local self-government bodies, contractors, donor organisations and expert networks. The project is implemented with the participation of IRMI under the EU4Reconstruction programme in partnership with Expertise France, involving sectoral experts and community representatives.
