NikVesti is participating in a special collaborative journalism program implemented by Fondation Hirondelle (Switzerland) and the Institute for Regional Press and Information (Ukraine) as part of the project “Strengthening Media Resilience in Ukraine.”
This initiative addresses the information needs of communities in frontline and war-affected regions. Within the program, five teams from different Ukrainian newsrooms are producing a series of publications on topics critical to local audiences during wartime: recovery and reconstruction, social cohesion, humanitarian issues, safety, and documentation of war crimes.
NikVesti is working in partnership with another regional media outlet. Together, we are producing in-depth stories that not only cover events but also provide context, explain complex processes, and help shape public demand for change. Each team is supported by mentors who assist with editorial guidance, topic development, and safety standards in challenging reporting environments.
The project runs until the end of July 2025. The resulting publications will be available on NikVesti’s website and in partner media outlets.
