The project is aimed at raising public awareness about the risks associated with explosive ordnance and disseminating important information about safe behavior in regions that have been most affected by military actions. With the support of BBC Media Action and UNDP, the project provides local media, particularly the online media outlet NikVesti, with the opportunity to create and distribute content that helps prevent tragedies among the civilian population.
As part of the project, the editorial team works on various types of publications: analytical articles, news, videos, photo reports, and social media posts that highlight critical aspects of mine safety. In addition to producing publications, the team participates in training sessions and receives mentoring support to improve their content creation and media management skills. This not only enhances the professional level of journalists but also makes the content more accessible and understandable for the local population.
The project also provides financial support for the development of the editorial team, allowing for the expansion of the staff and the improvement of technical capabilities to create high-quality materials on the topic of mine safety.
