The project «Improving Ukrainian Media Resilience» was created to support independent media in Ukraine in conditions of war and information threats. It is implemented in partnership between the Swiss organization Fondation Hirondelle and the Ukrainian Institute of Regional Press and Information (IRMI), with the support of Swiss Solidarity. The goal of the project is to help regional media in restoring and strengthening their stability in crisis conditions. The project offers media organizations multi-level support that includes funding, technical assistance, mentoring and training.
Within the framework of this project, the editors of the online media «NikVesti» received funding for institutional development, which helped us develop the structure and activity of our media. We also received machinery and equipment to improve the quality of content and stable work of the newsroom in wartime conditions. In addition, we participated in numerous educational events, such as seminars and trainings, which covered the topics of media management, content work and multimedia journalism. During the project, our team regularly received mentoring on issues of media management and the creation of quality content.
Participation in this project allows us to increase our sustainability and improve the editorial work according to the best international standards. We are also certified by the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI), which helps to increase the transparency of our work and strengthen the trust of our readers and partners.
