Georgia

Georgia is a country in the South Caucasus located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. It has access to the Black Sea and borders Russia, Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Its capital is Tbilisi. The population is approximately 3.7 million, with the majority being ethnic Georgians. The official language is Georgian.

Georgia boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, serving as a center of ancient and medieval culture. The country is renowned for its unique winemaking traditions, ancient monasteries, mountainous landscapes, and hospitality.

In 2008, Georgia experienced an armed conflict with Russia, resulting in the loss of control over the regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which are internationally recognized as part of Georgia but remain under de facto Russian control. Georgia actively pursues European integration and NATO collaboration.
