Mahuchikh nominated for the title of the best athlete in Europe 2025

Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh has been shortlisted for the title of the best athlete in Europe in 2025.

This was reported by European Athletics.

This season, Mahuchikh won her third consecutive European Indoor Championships gold medal and won the high jump at the Euro 2025 team event in Madrid. In addition, she won two bronze medals at the World Championships — outdoors and indoors — and a silver in the Diamond League final.

Last year, the athlete was already recognised as the best athlete in Europe at the Golden Tracks-2024 ceremony. Now she has a chance to repeat her success.

The winner will be determined by a vote of fans, national federations, journalists and European Athletics experts.

We would like to remind you that Yaroslava Mahuchikh took first place in the high jump final at the 2024 Olympic Games. She brought Ukraine its fifth medal at this year's Games.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh also set a new world record in the women's high jump, clearing 2.10 metres.
