A tender has been announced in the Mykolaiv region for the reconstruction of the external water supply network from the well in the village of Zbroshkove to the settlement of Domanivka. The works will be co-financed by the local community and the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO). The total estimated cost of the works is €1.7 million.

This is according to information published by the Domanivka Settlement Council.

The settlement council’s Facebook page reported that the project will result in a stable water supply for Domanivka.

«This is a critically important initiative for the community: for many years, a stable centralised water supply has been a problem, and people have been forced to bring water themselves in canisters and barrels. These changes have been made possible by the exploration of a groundwater source in the village of Zbroshkove — not far from Domanivka — which can meet the community’s water supply needs,» the council’s statement reads.

The municipal enterprise «Domanivske», as the contracting authority, invites contractors to submit tender proposals. The procedure has been divided into two lots. The first involves the reconstruction of the external water supply network from the borehole. The second involves the construction of a new solar power plant with an energy storage system at the water intake borehole site.

Tender bids must be submitted for the full scope of work across both lots. The project will be funded by a contribution from the Danish Government, channelled through the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a grant to the NEFCO Green Recovery Fund for Ukraine, as well as through co-financing from the Domanivka community budget.

Tender participants must meet the requirements, in particular, their average annual turnover over the last three years must exceed €1.6 million.

In addition, the tender participant must demonstrate that, over the last four years, they have successfully completed three similar contracts as the main contractor, with a total value of at least €1.6 million. The contractor must also provide confirmation that they have staff for key positions who meet the qualification requirements.

Work is expected to begin in August 2026 and be completed no later than August 2027. Tender proposals are due no later than 24 June.

Viktor Vlasiuk, Head of the Domanivka Settlement Council, told NikVesti that NEFCO has appointed a consultant to assist the settlement in conducting the tender.

«According to our memorandum, and subsequently the agreement between NEFCO, the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Domanivka Village Council, this project is co-financed. Denmark is set to provide nearly €1.5 million, whilst the Domanivka Village Council will contribute €200,000. Therefore, NEFCO has signed an agreement, held a competition beforehand and appointed a consultant who will fully prepare and conduct the tender, but with the participation of the Domanivka community’s municipal enterprise,» clarified Viktor Vlasiuk.

He noted that the Domanivka municipal enterprise had not previously conducted such tenders.

«That is why we are very grateful to NEFCO and the Danes for choosing this option, whereby the tender is conducted by our municipal enterprise under their supervision. We have approved the tender procedure in accordance with all their provisions. The tender provisions themselves were drawn up by the consultants. The documents comply with all European standards,» added the head of the settlement council.

The total cost amounts to almost €1.7 million. The project aims to bring water to Domanivka.

It was previously reported that by the end of 2026, a new main water pipeline will be built in Domanivka as part of a partnership with the Kingdom of Denmark and the international corporation NEFCO.
