President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died in the war with Russia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
He said this at a press conference on February 25, NikVesti reports.
At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not tell how many soldiers were wounded.
«31 thousand Ukrainian soldiers died in this war. Not 300,000, not 150,000, as Putin and his circle of liars lie. 180,000 Russians died. I don't know how many missing persons they have. I know that up to 500 thousand in total with the wounded. I will not say how many wounded we have, because Russia will know how many people we have on the battlefield,» said the president.
It should be noted that according to the data of the General Staff, Russia lost almost 410 thousand of its soldiers.
We will remind, in Ukraine, the system of payments to the families of prisoners, missing and dead soldiers has been simplified.
