Zelenskyy: We have to restore all possible energy facilities by winter

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a speech at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024, NikVesti reports.

«In the short term, we must implement a quick and inexpensive restoration of all energy facilities that can now be restored before winter. This is so important before winter, during the next three or four months,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The head of state also added that Ukrainians know how to ensure the restoration of the energy system, they expect equipment from stopped power plants and direct financial assistance from international partners.

«We lost many times more generation than the energy consumption of large cities. 80% of heat generation in Ukraine, a third of hydro generation were simply destroyed by Putin,» he emphasized.
