Ukrenergo stated that the situation with electricity in winter will be difficult.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, chairman of the board of NEC «Ukrenergo», announced this in an interview with Hromadske.

«The winter will be difficult. The real situation will depend on many factors, the main one of which is shelling. It is impossible to predict their nature, mass and accuracy now,» he noted.

According to him, several scenarios are currently being considered, but they are preparing for the worst.

«The pessimistic scenario foresees the continuation of massive shelling, as a result of which certain energy facilities will fail. In this case, there will be slightly less available generation in the winter than our base plan provides. Instead, the optimistic scenario assumes that there will be no or few successful enemy strikes, and more energy facilities will be restored than we expect under the baseline plan. Then the outages will be a little smaller,» explained Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.

He also emphasized that we should be prepared for blackouts next winter.

«It is necessary to be prepared for difficult scenarios in winter. It is better than now to promise people that everything will be fine and the winter will pass without shutdowns, and then they will have to be introduced,» he concluded.

We will remind, the energy company DTEK explained that if Russia continues to attack Ukrainian power plants, then in the worst case, when winter comes, Ukrainians may spend up to 20 hours a day without electricity and heating.

Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolayiv RMA, said in a comment to NikVesti that according to the new model of «Ukrenergo» for the distribution of electricity between regions, the regions will be de-energized according to queues, and not according to limits. However, the Mykolaiv region cannot avoid long-term blackouts, because it is located in the same energy system.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the Ministry of Energy and «Ukrenergo» should develop a resolution that would regulate «fair schedules of turning off the lights for consumers».

The government explained that the outages will last until August-September. And in winter, a deficit in the energy system is predicted even at high temperatures.
