Great Britain and Ukraine have begun negotiations on a 100-year partnership. A separate agreement is planned for this purpose.

This was reported by the British Embassy in Ukraine.

Negotiations began during the visit of British Foreign Minister David Cameron to Kyiv.

«The Minister started negotiations with Ukraine on the 100-year partnership - a new agreement that will build strong ties between our two countries in the entire spectrum of relations: from trade, security and defense, to science and technology, education, culture and much more», says the message.

The head of the British Foreign Ministry noted that this war is a challenge for our entire generation, and Ukraine cannot fight it alone.

Also during the visit, Cameron confirmed the provision of 36 million pounds of aid for Ukraine's energy infrastructure, including 20 million pounds of emergency funding to recover from the recent wave of attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure and another 16 million pounds for the winners of the Innovate Ukraine competition.

It was previously reported that David Cameron promised that Britain would provide Ukraine with three billion pounds of annual military aid, and that this would happen «as much as it takes.»
