The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, said that as of May 24, electricity supply has increased in Mykolaiv Oblast, but the region is still forced to use hourly blackout schedules.

Vitalii Kim told about this on the air of the Yedyni Novyny telethon, NikVesti writes.

«Electricity supply has increased. We apply blackouts for 2 hours in shifts. At the moment, the situation is stable, but I would like for us not to disconnect in principle. But this situation is common throughout the country, and we, together with all regions, are carrying out the task of shutting down for two hours a day in several shifts,» said Vitalii Kim.

Yesterday evening, Ukrenergo warned that on May 24, hourly shutdown schedules will be in effect for industrial and household consumers throughout Ukraine from 00:00 to 24:00.

It was previously reported that power outages for the population, which began on May 14, 2024, will last until August-September. In winter, a deficit in the energy system is predicted even at high temperatures.

The other day, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the Ministry of Energy and Ukrenergo should develop a resolution that would regulate «fair schedules of turning off the lights for consumers.»
