DTEK named the conditions under which blackout schedules will be introduced throughout Ukraine

Energy experts do not rule out the introduction of hourly blackout schedules in Ukraine. In general, energy experts defined four conditions under which hourly schedules can be introduced throughout the territory of Ukraine.

This was stated by the executive director of DTEK, Dmytro Sakharuk, on the air of the telethon.

According to him, restrictions may be introduced if thermal generation is not restored. Another reason is the likely increase in electricity consumption due to the summer heat.

«The third condition is that the amount of electricity we receive from Europe will not be enough. And fourthly, it will not be possible to transfer the required amount of electricity to certain regions. Then the only way to balance the system is to reduce consumption in general with hourly shutdown schedules», said Dmytro Sakharuk.

He added that energy companies will introduce blackout schedules only if all the above conditions are met.

We will remind that on the night of April 10, the Russian army launched Shahed 131/136 attack drones in the Mykolaiv region. 12 of them were shot down, but there is also a hit to an energy infrastructure facility in the Mykolaiv district. After that, the lights went out in many towns and villages in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
