Work on the arrangement of fortification defense lines is carried out virtually continuously, but the biggest problem now remains enemy drones.

This was said by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk.

During his work trip, Ivan Havryliuk drove several hundred kilometers along the front line to see for himself the pace at which fortifications are being built.

«Recently, engineering works on the construction of defense lines have been carried out at an accelerated pace. The weather has been contributing to this for several weeks now. New forces and technical capabilities have been involved,» said Ivan Havryliuk.

According to him, the necessary funds for the construction of these structures were allocated by the Ukrainian government. Virtually all regional military administrations are involved in the work.

«If the security situation and the weather permit, the work on the fortification of defensive lines is carried out practically continuously today. Currently, the biggest problem when building defense lines is enemy drones. They often prevent the involvement of the necessary construction equipment, threaten the lives of our soldiers, military engineers, civilian brigades and slow down the pace of work,» Ivan Havryliuk said.

It is noted that the defense lines are arranged by both military and civilian workers.
