On the night of 31 May, abnormally low air temperatures were recorded in the Mykolaiv region. At some weather stations in the region, they were the lowest ever recorded for this date throughout the entire period of observation.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology.

According to observations, temperature records for 31 May were broken at several weather stations in the region. These were the lowest air temperatures recorded for the entire period of observations from 1986 to 2025.

Experts attribute these figures to the influx of cold air. As a result, the end of spring 2026 in the Mykolaiv region turned out to be significantly cooler than usual.

«On the night of 31 May, meteorological stations across the region recorded minimum air temperatures that were very low for this time of year. The recorded figures indicate the arrival of cold air and the unusually cool nature of the end of spring 2026,» noted the Hydrometeorological Centre.

It should be recalled that on the evening of 27 May, strong winds and rain in the Mykolaiv region caused trees to fall in several settlements.
