The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration hopes that by 2026, e-democracy tools will be implemented in every community in the region. However, for this to happen, communities must be ready to cooperate.

This was announced during a briefing on 18 February by Dmytro Havryliak, head of the Department of Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, according to a NikVesti correspondent.

He reminded that the region already has an e-DEM platform, which brings together the main tools of digital democracy for citizens. These include electronic consultations, petitions, participatory budgeting, and appeals.

As of 2026, 20 communities have joined the e-consultation service, 18 have joined e-petitions, 15 have joined participatory budgeting, and 11 communities in the region have joined e-appeals.

Dmytro Havryliak noted that, ideally, all communities in the region will have joined the e-democracy tools by 2026.

«E-democracy in every community is, of course, the ideal option. It depends on how willing the communities are to cooperate. We are ready to provide all the tools and full support. The main thing is that the communities are willing to cooperate with us on this issue,» he said.

Earlier, the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration announced that it wanted to use artificial intelligence to solve the problem of labour shortages.
