In Mykolaiv, there is currently no reason to switch to distance learning or working due to weather conditions. The situation in the city is under control, and the forecast remains positive.

This was announced by the first deputy mayor of Mykolaiv, Vitalii Lukov, in a comment to NikVesti.

Vitalii Lukov noted that the city authorities are guided by the actual situation, weather forecasts and compliance with sanitary standards. Currently, there are no grounds for restrictions.

«We have taken into account the recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers, but given the geographical features and weather forecast, we will make decisions depending on the situation. Currently, the forecast for Mykolaiv is positive,» said Vitalii Lukov.

Earlier, the government recommended that local authorities consider the possibility of remote learning and working due to the drop in temperature and difficult weather conditions. In particular, this refers to the potential transition of educational institutions to an online format or the extension of winter holidays until at least 19 January.

At the same time, municipal services in Mykolaiv are operating as usual. Since last night, road workers have been treating the streets with anti-icing materials, and in the morning, work continues to clear sidewalks and public transport stops. City authorities emphasise that the situation on the roads is not critical at this time.
