This was announced at a briefing by Deputy Energy Minister Oleksandr Viazovchenko.
«In total, over 100 cases of damage to power grids as a result of hostilities were recorded last week. At the same time, the enemy targeted energy infrastructure facilities almost 20 times,» he said.
Oleksandr Viazovchenko said that consumers in the frontline and border regions remain without power for the longest time, as the constant shelling sometimes makes it impossible to start restoration work.
He also said that today, on 5 January, the crew of «Kharkivoblenergo» came under a drone attack while performing work, but there were no casualties.
As a reminder, on the night of 3 January, Russian troops massively attacked Mykolaiv with Shahed-131/136 attack drones. Critical infrastructure was damaged: more than 6,000 subscribers in Mykolaiv district lost power.
