Mykolaiv promises to repair skate park on Kherson highway next year

The repair of the skate park on Khersonske Highway in Mykolaiv is planned to start around mid-March next year, when weather conditions allow.

This was announced by Ihor Holovatyi, director of the municipal enterprise «Pilot», during a meeting of the city council's planning and budget commission, NikVesti reports.

According to him, the company has already purchased all the necessary materials for the work. At the same time, it is impossible to start repairs earlier due to the technical requirements for their use.

«These materials can only be used at temperatures between +10 and +15°. This was confirmed by both the manufacturer and the certified manufacturer of skate park complexes,» explained Ihor Holovatyi.

We discussed the issue of timing with the director of the housing and communal services department, and then made an interim decision to start work in mid-March.

Earlier, NikVesti reported that 100% of the equipment in the skate park on Khersonske Highway needs to be replaced. However, in 2025, the balance holder only had funds for partial repairs.

The skate park was opened in September 2020 at the expense of the public budget. At that time, almost 1 million hryvnias was allocated for its arrangement. The site is designed for cycling, skateboarding and rollerblading, and there are also elements for performing tricks. The facility has not been overhauled since its opening.

In 2024, the skate park was transferred to the balance sheet of the municipal enterprise «Pilot».
