A residential building in Ternopil, which was hit by a Russian missile on 19 November, sustained critical damage. According to experts, the structures are damaged to the point where the building cannot be restored.
The Ternopil Regional State Administration reported that due to the deformation of the supporting elements and the high risk of further collapse, the building was recommended to be dismantled as an emergency and uninhabitable.
At an extraordinary meeting, the first steps were taken to organise the dismantling work, including the timing of the work and the procedure for informing residents about the possibility of taking their surviving property.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under articles on war crimes. Law enforcers seized the missile fragments, which confirm the type of weapon used and the targeted attack on the residential area.
The rescue operation was completed on 22 November. As of 27 November, 35 people were reported dead. Five more people are still missing.
