«I will meet with the head of the «City of Integrity» programme at the city administration and visit one of the investigative journalists' publications that we support, as one of the main areas of EU support is aimed at civil society and independent journalism,» said the EU Ambassador to Ukraine.

Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Media Association, stressed that it is important for the region that journalists have the opportunity to work openly and independently.

«I hope that after your visit to our region and our city, you will be able to feel the spirit of Mykolaiv residents, and we are very pleased, I will say together with all journalists, to support your initiatives to support investigative journalism and improve communication with the public. We want this very much, we are always open and ready to work,» he added.

Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, called on journalists and the public to monitor tenders, including procurement by the RMA.

This happened at the end of October 2023 after the publication of an investigation by «Nashi Hroshi» on possible price overcharging in the procurement of equipment for the water supply system in Mykolaiv.
