Mykolaiv City Council approves monthly payment to teachers for work in war conditions

Deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council have decided to establish a monthly supplement for school teachers working in full-time or mixed education during the war.

This decision was approved during a session of the city council on 30 October, according to NikVesti.

According to the decision, from 1 September 2025, teachers of municipal schools who directly perform their duties in the city will receive a supplement of 5200 hryvnias per month.

Payments will be made at the expense of a subvention from the state budget, i.e. no additional expenditures from the city budget are foreseen.

The list of schools and employees eligible for this additional payment will be provided to the education department. In the event of changes in the form of education, transfer or dismissal of employees, school managers must update the lists within five working days.

The introduction of additional payments ensures the implementation of regulations governing the remuneration of teachers working in difficult security conditions.

Earlier it was reported that the Government had increased the monthly supplement to teachers from the frontline areas, including Mykolaiv region, to four thousand hryvnias.
