Following complaints from Mykolaiv residents about dirt in buses, the head of the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivpastrans», Dmytro Teslenko, promised to strengthen control over the cleanliness of the company's transport.

He announced this during an online briefing broadcast on social media.

According to Dmitry Teslenko, the issue of the sanitary condition of transport has been taken under control.

«As for the cleanliness of the cabins, this is an urgent issue. We are tightening control over it. In the near future, we will organise the highest quality cleaning in the cabins. Again, because there are a lot of buses, they are in different conditions, but we will correct this shortcoming in the near future», said the director of the utility company.

In addition, Dmytro Teslenko responded to comments from citizens about the behaviour of city bus drivers. According to him, the company does receive complaints, but each situation is considered individually. At the same time, the official called on Mykolaiv residents to treat bus drivers with respect and patience.

Earlier, Dmytro Teslenko said that the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivpastrans» had managed to overcome the shortage of drivers on its routes over the year, which allowed it to significantly increase the number of buses on city routes.
