Ukraine has returned 185 more defenders from Russian captivity. Photo: Office of the PresidentOn Thursday, 2 October, Ukraine returned another 185 defenders and 20 civilians from Russian captivity.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The released soldiers are from the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service. They also include the defenders of Mariupol, «Azovstal» and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Most have been in captivity since 2022.
«We thank everyone who makes these exchanges possible. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, we have managed to bring home more than 7,000 of our people. We have to bring them all back. We are working on this every day,» the President wrote.

They will undergo a full medical examination, receive assistance with physical and psychological rehabilitation, and all the state benefits provided for.
