During the year of work, the contractor dismantled the destroyed building and erected a «box» new one: he laid the foundation, a monolithic reinforced concrete slab over the basement and built four floors. This information was provided to us by the Department of Architecture and Capital Construction of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
37.9 million hryvnias has already been spent on these works from the state budget, the RMA said. But to complete the construction of the new lyceum building, another 73.4 million hryvnias are needed.
In summary, the new lyceum building will cost the state budget at least 111 million hryvnias.
Currently, the reconstruction of the lyceum has been suspended because the state budget does not have the funds for it, Andrii Hreits, director of the Department of Architecture and Capital Construction of the RMA, explained in a commentary to NikVesti. According to him, funding is promised to resume in 2026.
«If the funding comes in early next year, we will complete the project as planned only in 2026. This is subject to timely funding», said the director of the department.

Reconstruction of Lyceum №60
The school was destroyed in July 2022. The attack destroyed one of the lyceum's buildings and damaged the nearby playground.
In December 2023, the RMA's Urban Development Department announced a tender to rebuild the destroyed building of Lyceum №60 in Varvarivka. The contractor was «Construction Company «Interbud», which offered to carry out the work for 102.5 million hryvnias.
This year, the government has allocated U76.6 million hryvnias for the reconstruction of the school. The contractor began rebuilding the lyceum in the summer of 2024. The work is scheduled to be completed in August 2025.
According to the project, which was provided to NikVesti, a new three-storey building is planned to be built at the lyceum. On the ground floor, there will be a cloakroom, classrooms, a library reading room, a choreography room, bathrooms and utility rooms. On the second floor, there will be classrooms, the principal's office, bathrooms, physics and chemistry classrooms, a chemistry laboratory, a gym, a shell room, bathrooms and utility rooms. On the third floor, there will be a rehearsal room, assembly hall, locker room, teacher's room, resource room, biology classroom and laboratory, gymnasium, classrooms, bathrooms and utility rooms. The new building is also planned to have a lift.
It is worth noting that the school was the first object of the city's programme «Warm House». It was opened in autumn 2018 after renovation. It is worth noting that the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on another building of the institution.
