This year, the municipal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks» plans to install an automatic irrigation system at the Ternivske Ring (Heroiv Ukrainy Avenue). 226,800 hryvnias was spent on the purchase of equipment.

This was reported by Yurii Andrienko, Deputy Mayor of Mykolaiv, in response to an information request from NikVesti.

We asked the city council what measures the city authorities are taking to preserve green spaces in Mykolaiv that are suffering from the heat. In particular, whether there are plans to install automatic irrigation systems in green areas.

The answer states that the Programme for Reforming and Developing the Housing and Communal Services of Mykolaiv includes a separate paragraph on, inter alia, the installation of automatic watering of green areas, which should be implemented by the municipal enterprise «Mykolaiv Parks», «subject to the availability of appropriate funding».
