Since the beginning of 2025, 114 administrative protocols and resolutions have been drawn up in Mykolaiv region for violations of fire safety rules in ecosystems. The perpetrators were brought to justice.

This was announced by Oleksandr Shvets, Deputy Head of the Department — Head of the Fire Safety Department of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast, during a briefing on 2 July, NikVesti reports.

«114 administrative protocols and resolutions were drawn up, as a result of which the offenders were brought to administrative responsibility. I would like to appeal to the residents once again: we do not always have the desire to be a punitive body, to draw up protocols and bring to administrative responsibility. People do not always understand the conditions in the country — the war, low wages and so on. But I would like to take this opportunity to emphasise once again: do not violate the basic rules, pay attention, do not pass by if you see something on fire. If you can't put it out, call the State Emergency Service at», said Shvets.

For burning dry vegetation, citizens are fined between 3,000 and 6,000 hryvnias, and officials are fined between 15,000 and 21,000 hryvnias. If the violation concerns the territories of the nature reserve fund, fines for citizens range from 6,000 to 12,000 hryvnias, and for officials — from 21,000 to 30,000 hryvnias.

As a reminder, in 2025, 1857 fires occurred in the Mykolaiv region, of which 1233 were in open areas and natural ecosystems. This is more than 66% of the total number.
