A documentary film «No Right to Fail» dedicated to the work of the explosives service of the National Police of Ukraine was premiered in Kyiv.
The film was filmed over a year in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kharkiv regions, the National Police of Ukraine reports.
The project was implemented by the KyivSky creative association. The film was directed by Vasyl Kyivskyi and produced by Viktoriia Kratinova. The film contains exclusively documentary footage, without any staging. The main characters are real explosive experts who defuse Russian ammunition on a daily basis in the de-occupied territories.
According to the director Vasyl Kyivskyi, the main goal of the film is not only to show the professionalism of the sappers, but also to honour the memory of the victims.
«We wanted to show how the bomb squad eliminated the most complicated mines of Russian terrorists. They cleared many villages, cities, roads, forests and fields. The film is about the fact that there is no ammunition that explosive experts cannot handle. I would also really like all Ukrainians to understand the cost of demining our country,» said Vasyl Kyivskyi.
Producer Viktoriia Kratinova added that she was proud of the team and the opportunity to bring these stories to a wider audience.
«I would like to thank the families of our deminers — parents, wives and children. You are a reliable rear for our heroes. I can imagine how difficult it is, with what heart you send them to clear our territories,» said Viktoriia Kratinova.

In the film, the authors talked to Anatolii Chechelnytskyi, the chief of police explosives technicians in Mykolaiv region, who was hit by an anti-personnel mine during one of his combat demining missions. He returned to service immediately after rehabilitation and continues to clear mines and unexploded ordnance.
As reported earlier, NikVesti presented a documentary about Afanasiivka, which was flooded after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was blown up, in Mykolaiv.
