The bodies of 1200 fallen servicemen have been returned to Ukraine. The repatriation took place in accordance with the agreements reached in Istanbul.

This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

According to the Russian side, the bodies belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel.

Now law enforcement investigators, together with the expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will conduct all the necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies.

Earlier, Ukraine returned the bodies of 1,212 fallen servicemen.
