Zelenskyy: Czech Republic to open school for Ukrainian F-16 pilots

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a Ukrainian-Czech school for F-16 fighter pilots should be opened in the Czech Republic.

The Head of State said this at a press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel.

As Zelenskyy explained, it is impossible to create such a base in Ukraine for security reasons, so Kyiv is working with partners on this. Discussions are currently underway at the level of government officials and the military of Ukraine and the Czech Republic, the president added.

The Head of State also said that in 2025, Ukraine expects to receive another 1.8 million shells as part of the Czech initiative.

As a reminder, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever said that Ukraine would receive two F-16 fighter jets this year and two more next year. There will be no delays in the delivery of the aircraft.
