In the war against Russia, 45,100 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 390,000 more were wounded.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
He noted that the actual number of wounded is lower, as the statistics include those who were wounded, returned to the battlefield and were wounded again.
According to him, there are problems with the number of missing persons and prisoners of war: he cannot give a clear number, but Ukraine is working on it.
As for Russian losses, according to Zelenskyy, Russia has lost approximately 350,000 military personnel in the death toll. Another 50-70,000 are missing, and 600-700,000 have been wounded.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine had allegedly «senselessly lost 400,000 soldiers in the war with Russia». Also, according to him, «about 600,000 Russian soldiers are wounded or killed in the war».
