The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP), headquartered in Izmail, Odesa region, has started transporting iron ore from Ukraine to Serbia.

The announcement was made by the company's CEO Dmytro Moskalenko.

This year's first caravan, consisting of the tug Kapitan Antypov and five barges, set sail with a cargo of almost 10,000 tonnes.

According to Dmytro Moskalenko, this is an important step that demonstrates the benefits of direct cooperation without intermediaries.

Earlier it was also reported that the State Property Fund of Ukraine has put the Black Sea Fishing Port up for auction. The complex includes the liquid bulk tanker «Vostochnyi», which is based in the Mykolaiv Commercial Port.
