This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
It is stated that the military received information about a planned meeting of the command of the 4th Guards Military Base of Russia in Zaporizhzhia region. After verifying and confirming the data, military intelligence officers developed an operation plan.
The operation plan included a precision HIMARS strike on the Russian officers, as well as attacks with attack drones after the evacuation team arrived. The operation resulted in the deaths of three Russian captains:
- Dmitrii Olegovich Nagornyi — commander of the 1st Battalion of the 135th Motorised Rifle Regiment.
- Grigorii Aleksandrovich Krokhmalev — Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence of the 135th Regiment.
- Yurii Viktorovich Fomin — commander of the anti-aircraft battery of the 4th Guards military base.
In addition, 5 units of Russian vehicles were destroyed.
As a reminder, on 26 December, the Russian army attacked two communities in Mykolaiv region.
