President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that 3,767 Ukrainian men and women have already been returned from Russian captivity.

The president wrote about this in his Telegram.

He noted that Ukrainians in Russian prisons and camps are subjected to torture, humiliation and hunger.

«We managed to bring home 3,767 Ukrainian men and women. Almost all required long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Russia illegally detains thousands more of our people and continues the forced resettlement of children,» he added.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that together with everyone who respects human life, it is necessary to do everything possible to free everyone. He also expressed hope for help from the Vatican and all partners of Ukraine.

We will remind that on October 18, 95 defenders were returned to Ukraine. During the exchange of prisoners of war, 34 servicemen of Azov returned.

We will also remind you that on September 13, Ukraine met 49 of its citizens who returned home after being in captivity. Among those released are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Service, as well as civilians.
