Called for a pseudo-referendum: a resident of the Kherson region is suspected of collaborationism

A resident of the Kherson region, who called to participate in the pseudo-referendum, was informed of the suspicion of collaborative activity.
The Kherson regional prosecutor's office reported that the man was placed in custody.
According to the investigation, in September 2022, the suspect joined one of the so-called DVK operating on the territory of Kherson. The man worked on the territory of the precinct, issued «ballots», checked lists of «voters». And also offered local residents to participate in a pseudo-referendum.
Note: in accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict. The sanction of the article provides up to 10 years of imprisonment.
We will remind that the law enforcement officers in the Kherson region sent an indictment to the court against the former manager of one of the communal enterprises on the fact of collaborationism. In May 2022, the man went to cooperate with the Russian Federation, as a result of which he was appointed to the position of «head» of Oleshky in the Kherson district.
