By the end of the year, 60 modular houses will be built in two communities of the Mykolaiv region as part of the work to restore communities affected by Russian aggression.

During the briefing on February 21, acting director of the Regional Development Agency of the Mykolaiv Region Yevhen Babkov announced this, NikVesti reports.

As part of a joint project with the youth charity organization «Youth with a Mission», the Agency plans to install 60 modular houses in the Pervomais and Shevchenkove communities.

The first phase of construction involves the installation of 30 modular homes in June, and the second in September. The 40 square meter modular homes will consist of foundations and sandwich panels and will be insulated.

«We signed a memorandum with the youth charitable organization «Youth with a Mission» regarding the construction of modular houses in the Pervomais and Shevchenkove communities, which were the most affected by Russian aggression. Modular houses will consist of a foundation, sandwich panels, windows, and doors will be installed there. The house is already insulated, and of course, if it has heating, it keeps the temperature down to -19 degrees,» said Yevhen Babkov.

Each of these buildings will be handed over to residents for the symbolic price of one hryvnia (UAH) and will become their property.

«People will be able to install it on their plot in order to later restore their housing or they can live there. This house is conditionally sold to residents for one hryvnia and becomes their property. Therefore, people who currently do not have housing in the communities can return and live in these houses,» he said.

We will remind you that in 2023, the first modern modular houses with a kitchen, bathroom and furniture were installed in the Mykolaiv region. Two families from the Shevchenkove community received new housing.

At the same time, 35 more modular houses will be installed in the villages of the Pervomaisk community of the Mykolaiv region. Before that, 10 such houses were installed there.

In addition, the head of the Black Sea community, Andrii Dmytrenko, criticized the modular houses for displaced people, which are not equipped with a toilet, bathroom and kitchen.
