The Chechen volunteer unit of the Sheikh Mansur Battalion has been fighting against the Russian army on the side of the Armed Forces since 2014.

At that time, I was doing kickboxing, going to competitions, and suddenly fights started in the city of Grozny. Then I found out that not far from us, in a military unit, recruiting for an Islamic battalion is taking place. I went there and signed up».

Fighters of the battalion named after Sheikh Mansur said that in fact most Chechens hate the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

«If you think that the majority of Chechens are for Kadyrov, then you are deeply mistaken. The main mass simply hates them. He hates everything with his whole body, soul and heart,» said a fighter of the Sabbah battalion.
