In the Mykolaiv region, humanitarian demining of the territory of private houses, critical infrastructure facilities, gas and electricity supplies is ongoing.
This was announced at a briefing on Monday, November 6, by Yurii Slyuschenko, the deputy head of the department — the head of the humanitarian demining department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.
According to him, calculations from the Kyiv and Rivne regions, as well as 2 and 3 Special Rapid Response Centers of the State Emergency Service, were provided to help Mykolaiv pyrotechnicians. Two mechanized demining vehicles are also operating on the territory of the Mykolaiv Oblast.
«Together with non-governmental organizations, educational work among the population regarding the prevention of unauthorized handling of explosive objects continues. Despite all the work done, 53 incidents have already occurred, during which 16 people died and 54 were injured,» — Yurii Slyushchenko noted.
We remind you that Mykolaiv pyrotechnicians received a new DIGITAL VANGUARD–S robotic complex, which was handed over for the needs of the State Emergency Service with the support of the Government of Canada. This complex is intended for reconnaissance and remote disposal of ammunition.
